Creamy Dragon Fruit Smoothie Bowl

This SUPER creamy Dragon Fruit Smoothie Bowl is ready in just 5 minutes and has only five healthy ingredients.

The base is made from frozen bananas. Frozen raspberries (or any other berry) provide antioxidants and fruit flavor. Dragon fruit gives a beautiful hot pink color.

Dragon fruit isn’t very tasty (but it contains tons and tons of vitamins and minerals), so adding any fruit and protein powder combination will change the flavor as you please!

What is the secret to thick smoothie bowl consistency?

  • Blend slowly and steadily
  • Scrape often
  • Blend only the amount of liquid needed

It’s that simple!

Ingredients

SMOOTHIE BOWLS

  • We like the PitayaPlus brand.
  • Half a cup of frozen raspberries or other fruit (of choice)
  • Two medium bananas, peeled and sliced.
  • 3 Tbsp Vegan Vanilla protein powder
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup dairy-free milk (we used DIY Coconut Milk)

Topplings are optional

  • Coconut Flakes
  • Fresh fruit
  • Hemp seeds
  • Granola

Instructions

  • Add frozen bananas, frozen raspberries, protein powder, and dairy-free Milk to a high-speed blender (starting at the lower end). Blend until smooth and creamy. Blend slowly and add only the amount of liquid necessary. Use a blender-safe smoothie wand to scrape down the sides as you blend.
  • Add more banana if you want it sweeter, more dairy-free Milk if you like creaminess, or more berries if you prefer a stronger berry flavor.
  • Divide into serving bowls. Enjoy as is, or add fruit, granola, and hemp seeds (optional).
  • Fresh is best. Keep leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Freeze for longer-term storage. Freeze in ice-cube molds to use for future smoothies.
